Don't bother putting those leftovers in a plastic container, then locating the lid (if you can), and maybe subjecting yourself to infomercial-style frustration. These super stretchy reusable food savers are a safer alternative to plastic wrap (BPA and Phthalates-free), and fit tightly on various sizes and shaped containers, or directly on fresh-cut food like tomatoes and lemons. They're made of food-safe StickyRubber™ that’s made for use in the refrigerator or freezer (but not for the dishwasher or microwave). I haven't had problems with ripping, but I use mine mostly for fruit & veggies. It saves 1/2 an avocado for 2 days in the fridge!
What a super simple idea. I can’t believe that no one came up with it before. They work quite well
These are awesome.I have used them to keep the ends on cheese blocks fresh and they're amazing. I just used the smallest one to put on the end of a lemon and it holds well. The only drawback is that after the blubber gets moist, it starts to slip so for some applications, you can only use them once before you have to clean and dry it again. Still work it!
So far I love these little guys! I have used them for various fruits and vegetables. I tried one several days ago on a halved apple just to see how it worked. It is still there and very good after several days. Only a tiny little bit of brown tint on the cut part of the apple. I jjust leave them in my veggie drawer, so they are there when I need them. Highly recommend for small items up to half a lettuce head.
These products are great, they stretch over whatever you need to cover and the different sizes make it easy to find the perfect fit.
